A New Project Rifle!

This is a retroactive post made well after the date it says it was, thanks to the magic that is Blogger when accessed through a browser!

Today I ordered a G&G SR25 Sniper.

By this point I've made no progress with the VSR at all in terms of upgrades, but I've found myself wanting a semi auto rifle, something I can make quick follow-up shots with should I need to! So I'm after a an accuracy focused AEG typically classed as a DMR!

One of the problems with DMRs is that there are sites out there, looking at their websites, that don't acknowledge them. There are bolt actions and there are none bolt actions to them. Sites that do acknowledge DMRs allow them anywhere from 400 to 450 fps, with 425 fps being the average. A PolarStar, that allows for adjustable fps and provides consistent fps sounds like an ideal system for a DMR, except instead of having a big 11.1 volt LiPo in the stock, you've got a high pressure air tank hooked up instead, which you can have fitted onto a specific stock if the idea of an air hose bothers you. I understand there's a lot less tech-work involved with them too, just the occasional internal lubrication, all of which suits me just fine! I am not a tech. I'd love to be able to take the time to learn, but time is something I don't have enough of to start with.

With this in mind, I've gone specifically for the G&G SR25 solely because there is a PolarStar nozzle available for it so that I can drop in a PolarStar, r-hop it, swap out and stabilize the barrel and wind up with a nice "semi-auto sniper" to play with. PolarStar systems aren't cheap though, so it'll take time to get up and running!
